With new technology and trends in mobile app concepts, the UI of a mobile phone is rapidly changing and require medium to present these changes as smooth as possible. Animations and customized gestures are an important part of our user experience. Pictures and screenshots are not cutting the deal when it comes to motion and showing dynamism. Mobile app developers can’t use the actual video because it will make the software immensely heavy and will lag in low tech phones.

GIF is abbreviation for Graphics Interchange Format. It is a very popular file type and is used extensively in mobile apps and on many websites too. Gif files are very compressed in size, which gives them a very small size, usually in some kb. They are very popular in the funny sections of websites and in logos because they show a small video animation of the desired content. The medium is graphical representation in form of a small video. Gif are amalgamation of several frames from a video or pictures individually made. In a GIF they all are combined and played in a sequence.

In mobile app concepts, static images are a thing of the past nowadays users want apps that can interact with them and responds to their touch, but most of all it should be aesthetically pleasing. With the use of GIF in the mobile apps, it has now become possible for the developers and users to get what they want. Developers can now easily load up content in a much smaller size and can enhance the user experience. Users can now interact with friendlier which also looks aesthetically pleasing.

The use of GIFs in the mobile app concepts is changing our experience of the apps. It changes the whole look of an app and presents it in something fresh and different manner. Self-changing graphics and easy swipe has made our experience richer and more colorful. The use of GIFs in the app has enabled several features which were unavailable in the static images. The GIF can be touch responsive and easily swipes itself between functions in just a touch of button. When we close a particular function, it does not get closed abruptly but in a visually smooth manner.

The animations have revolutionized the app presentation and behavior of the app. There are no static images in an app; they are replaced with visually appealing animations with smooth swipe gestures. In mobile app concepts, GIFs are extensively used because animation is a great tool to highlight something and in instructing the user on how to use the app. GIFs are very small in size  and make the apps very light and fun to use. They carry a large amount of animations in spite of their small file size. They provide a unique flow of animations to the app while switching between various functions. The transition effect can be customized by the user and they are available in different modes.

In all, GIFs provide a more rich and lifelike feel to the apps. They are more colorful and consume much small size as compared to other file types. These are very easy to make and are being used in nearly all of the mobile app concepts.
